Residence Krstanoski

The owners are a lovely older couple, always friendly and ready to answer my questions about Ohrid. The room was spacious and clean, with its own bathroom and all the basics, including towels, a hairdryer, and a kettle with complimentary tea and coffee. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the town center, and the value is hard to beat.

Slave was so welcoming and gave me useful tips for finding food and getting to the beach. The room was cozy and clean, with everything I needed, and the price was very reasonable.

The rooms are really nice, and Slave is a kind, helpful host. He shared several recommendations and even called the bus companies to check the schedule for me. I’d happily recommend staying here.

The room we were given was on the roof, and it didn’t match the pictures. We weren’t happy with it, but the owner said the other rooms were taken. We had trouble getting enough water pressure for a proper shower, and the rooms don’t each have a bathroom: there are three rooms and only two bathrooms. When we arrived in the morning, he wouldn’t show us the room, and it wasn’t ready on time, so we went to the beach and had to come back in the afternoon. He wasn’t very polite and came across as arrogant when guests complained. The outside of the house was clean and fine, and it’s about a 10-minute walk from the city center. I wouldn’t recommend these rooms despite the good reviews. Maybe no one had stayed on the top floor.
