A plus for winter was that the air conditioning kept the room warm and cozy, even in January. Breakfast was a decent buffet, and there’s a reasonably good gym inside the villa. The TV had a solid range of channels, and towels, shampoo, and soap were provided. The triple room on the third floor was relatively clean, but damp patches showed on the walls, and clothes kept in the drawers picked up an unpleasant smell since there was no wardrobe. The building seems to have been added to over time, and its stairways and corridors are narrow and poorly lit. Villa Sparadise is nearly four kilometers from central Ohrid, which is a big drawback if you’re not in good shape. Taxi drivers don’t use meters and charge what they like, so our fares ranged from 3 to 6 euros. The villa also has a well-stocked shop on the ground floor with a wide selection of Serbian products. The spa and pool, also part of the property, were closed for winter.
