Villa Alexander

The room was nice, but I was disappointed by the parking situation. We weren’t given clear instructions, and sometimes other guests parked in a way that made things inconvenient, leaving no room for a third car. Another guest started screaming at me and was really rude. That’s another story, but it added to my disappointment.

Zlatko made the stay especially nice. He was kind and ready to help with anything. The room was clean and comfortable, and the main sights are still an easy walk away even though the place is away from the city center's bustle. If I come back to Skopje, I’d choose this place again. Thanks, Zlatko.

The reception staff were helpful, and breakfast was decent for the price, enough to keep you full. It’s served in the reception area, though, since there’s no dining room, which feels odd. The accommodation is fine for a night or two, but it seems past its best. Our room was dusty, there was a lot of mold in the bathroom, the door wouldn’t shut properly, and the hairdryer didn’t work. The sheets didn’t smell clean either, and I doubt they’d been changed after the previous guests, which was upsetting. There were no glasses or waste bin in the room. Cleanliness really needs to improve.

The staff at Villa Alexander made our time in Skopje: they helped with whatever we needed, suggested great places and things to do, and shared useful advice. We found the rooms roomy and comfortable, and breakfast was good. We’d happily stay again on another visit or if passing through Skopje.
