Hotel Lirak

The breakfast was actually good, with cold cuts, cheese, fried and boiled eggs, vegetables and bread. A couple of the staff were really nice, and the hot water was good. I’d say the place is recommendable, but only just okay. If you stay, ask for a room away from the busy street. I was on that side and could hear traffic, and music from the nearby square sometimes got so loud I couldn’t watch videos on my phone. It was mostly quiet after 11pm. I was traveling by bike, and there’s plenty of space for several bikes on the bottom floor behind reception. Some staff ride too. WiFi kept cutting out, the room was average and a bit dirty, and it smelled faintly of smoke. The air conditioning barely moved room-temperature air. The bathroom was the worst part: the disinfected paper was still over the toilet, but there was dried urine on the seat underneath. The fridge was off and smelled moldy, so I couldn’t tell what else hadn’t been cleaned.

The location made getting into town easy, since Hotel Lirak is close to the main road. We also had a seminar in its excellent conference room. The rooms were roomy enough for two, with bathrooms in good shape, and the hotel was clean and attractive. Staff were friendly, the food was good and the drinks were fine too. A fantastic stay.

I had a quiet, pleasant room at the back of the building. It was very clean, and the shower had strong pressure and plenty of hot water. There was also a powerful hair dryer. The staff were lovely and breakfast was great. I’d definitely come back if I’m in the area.

The staff were cheerful and genuinely helpful. The hotel is centrally located, with parking behind the building. My room was clean, though it could use more attention, and some of the in-room items seemed due for replacement.
