A corner shop is just a minute away, and the lake is about ten minutes on foot. Ohrid centre takes around 40 minutes to walk to. The hotel itself is lovely and very peaceful, with excellent service, a free buffet breakfast each day, and bar access throughout the day. I'd recommend it.

The location is pleasant, though a little out of the way if walking is difficult. The staff were attentive and did everything they could to help. Rooms are large and well equipped, with a lounge area, TV, fridge, a separate sleeping space and a very comfortable oversized bed. The bathroom had a spa bath and shower. Breakfast in the restaurant was a continental buffet, with freshly made omelette or scrambled eggs available too.

The garden and outdoor pool are lovely, and the homemade food is good, including the breakfast items. Service was warm and helpful, whether we needed a taxi, wanted to go somewhere, or I was trying to book a nail appointment. Some things need attention. The jets in our bath didn't work, although they did in our boys' bath. The spa was the biggest letdown: the bike and treadmills were old and out of order, the indoor pool wasn't heated, and the sauna didn't work properly when we asked. The steam room was good, and the heated mosaic sun loungers were lovely.

The owner was kind, approachable and helpful with all our questions, and service was excellent. The place is well kept, with spacious rooms, a good shower with hot water, an outdoor pool, Jacuzzi and free parking. Breakfast was very good. The bed was let down by a mattress that badly needs replacing, and the pillows were uncomfortable. The shower head sprayed water everywhere. We also couldn't get the jacuzzi in the pool area running, even with help from the receptionist.
