The staff made our stay especially easy, handling several transport requests and even accommodating us outside normal meal hours. I particularly liked the Shan noodle bar at breakfast. Kalaw Heritage Hotel has comfortable, nicely furnished rooms and a peaceful, charming historic feel throughout. A beautiful, welcoming place in the Shan hills, and I’d happily recommend it.

We were 14 adults staying for one night. The rooms were nice, breakfast was good, and the staff were really friendly. The view was amazing too. There wasn’t any heating system, but the shower water was very hot.

The garden and bar have a wonderful atmosphere, and the hotel itself is beautiful, with its original structure well preserved. Breakfast had a very good buffet with plenty to choose from. The staff deserve a special mention for being so kind and going out of their way to help us sort out airline problems. We’ll definitely return to Kalaw.

Set among the pine-covered hills, the location is lovely. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the service is excellent.

The food was well prepared and had traditional Shan flavors, and the coffee was great. The grounds also have colorful flowers and large trees, making the landscaping lovely. The buildings are over 100 years old and well maintained, with large rooms and hot water that comes quickly. People also come to take photos and try the coffee.
