Hotel Gabana

Friendly, helpful staff. This is probably the best hotel in town. The only downside was the bathroom’s frosted privacy window high on the wall, which looks into the bathroom next door. You can’t see through it, but you can hear people talking or playing music in there.

The rooms are comfortable, the bed is cozy, and they feel fairly priced. Staff were great to deal with, very helpful and friendly. The restaurant serves tasty food at fair prices, and I even got to eat Italian food there. The waiters could still improve, though. There are lots of room types to choose from. If you’re looking for a place in Hpa-an, I’d recommend this hotel. Hope this review helps :)

The lobby is lovely and interesting, and there’s a souvenir shop where you can take a romantic photo. The breakfast menu was delicious, and the room rate was reasonable. I asked for a double room and got one with a bathtub, with both cold and warm water available. Hotel Gabbana welcomes many tourists and is friendly to foreigners. They provide an English-captioned map of tourist attractions around Hpa-An. I appreciated the hotel. When I stayed in early 2018, the price was 45000 MMK.

The breakfast was very poor quality. Rooms are small unless you book one of the two-room suites. The hotel is across from a monastery, and unfortunately our room faced it. The bell clanging through the night kept interrupting my sleep.
