You can get a very good stay here without paying a fortune. Staff were respectful, attentive and clearly worked hard to make things comfortable. The airy rooms had plenty of hot water whenever we needed it. Breakfast on the top floor had a good selection, and taxis outside made it easy to get to farther parts of this growing city.

The staff were very kind and polite, and the mixed Asian and Continental breakfast was nice. The hotel feels a little dated, but it was clean. We had one or two mosquitoes in the room at any given time. After we got rid of one, another would show up, and I couldn't tell where they were coming from. Still, it was a good experience overall.

The staff were amazing, and the included buffet breakfast was lovely. My room was spacious, with cold air conditioning and a comfortable bed, and had everything I needed for the price. I hired a moped for the day and booked a bus to Bagan right at reception. My bag got soaked on the flight over, so they took me up to the rooftop to dry my things. I highly recommend this hotel.

We spent five days at Hotel A1 and had a great time. The staff helped arrange trips for very little money, gave us an early check-in, and showed us a special view from the rooftop. The Wi-Fi was pretty good and worked in our room. We'd definitely come back if we stayed in Mandalay again.

We had a fun, lighthearted Merry Christmas cocktail party with the staff and a few other guests. Breakfast was good too, with a nice high-up view across parts of Mandalay. The rooms were very good, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
