For a central Mandalay stay, this is a great deal. The free buffet breakfast has fresh tea and coffee, and the roof view is breathtaking. The area right around the hotel has plenty of entertainment, which saves on travel costs. The rooms feel five-star, with new powerful air conditioners, power all day, a hot shower, fridge, TV, and excellent bedding. You get the whole nine yards.

The front desk staff were really helpful and friendly. Wi-Fi was good overall, even though it dropped out a few times, since it came back within seconds. My one gripe was the shower. I had to keep pressing a switch to keep the water running.

We got in early after an overnight bus from Yangon. The staff apologized that our room wouldn't be ready until around 10am, and offered us the lobby to wait in or the option to leave our bags and come back. When we returned, they'd upgraded us to a better room. It was really clean, with a good bed, working AC, hot shower, complimentary water, and everything else we needed. Breakfast was good too. What stood out most was how amazing the staff were. Tayzar and the team were so helpful and did all they could to make our stay great. Highly recommended.

A handy location in Mandalay, with local restaurants just an easy walk away. The rooms are compact but comfortable and have air conditioning. Staff were very helpful, and breakfast was hearty and included. Reception also booked our coach rides. They can hold your bags for the day and let you use the staff bathroom to shower, with a towel provided. Happy to recommend Hotel Sahara.

The rooms were clean and great for the price, and the neighborhood felt safe. Staff were so friendly that they even connected me with a mototaxi driver, who I used every day and charged very fair prices. On checkout day, they offered to hold my bags and let me shower before my night train.
