The staff were friendly and professional, and there are some nice extras: a small pool set in a pond, a private jetty for tour pickups, and old bikes guests can borrow. But the food made us sick, which is pretty ironic at this price point. Avoid the ice creams. Breakfast was burnt bread and an omelet we couldn't eat. There isn't a temple view from the resort, despite what the misleading website photos suggest. As tourism comes to Mrauk-U over the next few years, hotels like this will need to lower their prices to make sense. Try negotiating if you want to stay.
