We spent most of the afternoon lounging by the huge pool, and the beach was just a short stroll across a bridge. It was nearly empty when we visited, with soft white sand and little waves that were nice for swimming. Our room had an ocean view after an upgrade, which was a lovely surprise. The room was comfortable and clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The view from Eskala Hotel and Resorts was fantastic, especially the sunset over the sea. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet, and the Eskala employees gave very good service. Our room was neat and excellent. One thing I didn't like was that the doors have no stopper, so during a storm they slam really loudly.

Wai Gyan did a really good job cleaning our room. At breakfast, Khine Thet was so polite and friendly, and spent time talking with my mom. Zwe Mann helped us find a car and was very kind. Thanks to all the staff for making our stay such a good experience.

We went to the beach bar with friends, but the food was a letdown. The pizza took 40 minutes to arrive cold, and the waiter offered a lame excuse without even apologizing, so we canceled that order. The black pepper crab was far too salty to eat. I'd avoid this place for food, and the waiters need to learn what good service means.

We'd booked ahead and arrived at noon, but check-in wasn't until 2 pm, so we were asked to wait. Staff said the room needed about 30 minutes to be cleaned and promised to get us in as soon as they could. By 1:30, after an hour and a half of waiting with no progress, we asked about paying extra for early check-in. The female supervisor said there was no need to pay, and that someone would take us to the room once it was available.
