Hotel Sincere Smile Bagan

We had a Deluxe room and everything worked fine, including the hot and cold shower and air conditioning. The hotel was clean, and the staff were polite, helpful, and nice. Breakfast had a decent variety and was fine. We’d stay again, and I’d recommend it to couples or families.

The breakfast was a highlight, especially since there aren’t many good places to eat in Bagan. It’s in the heart of New Bagan, and the small pool may be fun for children and some adults. A two-bed room cost around 50 USD a night. That’s less than hotels in Old Bagan, but still not exactly cheap. Sincere Smile Hotel, also called Floral Breeze Hotel, is an okay place to stay.

The rooms were clean and nice, but the laundry charge was extremely high. A very small bag of washing cost me over $20US, and when I asked the staff to sort it out, they didn’t seem interested. That was six times what I’d paid anywhere else on my holiday. Meals at the restaurant also took a long time to arrive.

We visited in May and had a very happy family trip. The hotel is in a quiet, particular location near Lawkanandar pagoda, about a seven-minute walk away by the Irrawady river. The rooms were large enough for family and friends, the price was fair, and the service was wonderful. It’s very hot in Bagan, so having air conditioning around the clock was especially comfortable and important. There’s a small pool, and hot and cold water in the bathroom. Free Wi-Fi is available too. Breakfast is served in the garden when you get up. I also liked having breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the hotel garden in front of the restaurant. The hotel offers laundry, massage, a restaurant, home theater, meeting room, car rental, and other services. The staff were warm and happy to help me and my family. I’m sure I’ll visit again. It seems suitable for local and foreign families, groups of friends, office team building or meetings, and other purposes. June 2019
