KMA Bagan Hotel River View

The hotel is near the famous temples, museum and tourist information centre, so I’d recommend it to foreigners wanting to experience life in Bagan. I had a large junior suite with a quiet garden view. The room facilities were old fashioned, though a staff member told me they planned to upgrade the rooms soon. There’s a large, not-too-deep pool that’s good for kids. I didn’t try breakfast, since it was being prepared outside the dining hall and didn’t sound appealing. I also felt unhappy that not all the staff had friendly faces.

We were upgraded to a huge room right beside the pool, and the staff were very friendly. The garden grounds were beautiful and well kept, with an 11th-century temple of their own. The pool area is lovely, though the water is freezing! The location is excellent, and the incredible breakfast buffet can be enjoyed right by the river.

The location worked really well for visiting the main temples, and there’s a bike rental right by the door. We were upgraded to a spacious, nicely decorated junior suite, and the staff were kind and helpful. The grounds are beautiful, with two temples inside, a clean swimming pool and a garden full of plants, ancient trees and flowers. Breakfast is served by the river. After a whole day visiting temples in the sand, the pool was especially useful.

The garden is huge, with old, massive trees and flowers everywhere, and there’s a lovely swimming pool too. Antique Pagodas stand right within the hotel grounds. The river runs nearby, and breakfast in the morning comes with a wonderful view of the water, mountains and a Pagoda on the hilltop. A beautiful hotel in the middle of Bagan site, an enchanting place.
