The staff were very friendly, as I’d expect in this country, and the room was spotless. The shower holder was broken, which made washing a bit annoying, and the water pressure was somewhat weak. Breakfast was average, much like what you find in other areas. Shops and bars are within walking distance, and the price felt fair for what I got.

We liked the place a lot, and the facilities were flawless and stylish. Our group was one couple and one man, aged 25-31. The rooms were large, modern, and very cheap, and the staff were professional and friendly. They were flexible when we arrived at 4 a.m., letting us use a room and charging us only for breakfast. Breakfast was okay, though it wasn’t the best we had in Myanmar. Still, five stars from us.

For a lower-budget couple, this was probably the best place we stayed in all of Myanmar. The staff were incredibly kind and ready to help as soon as we came through the beautiful door. After we paid the regular price, they surprised us with a discount, which felt unusual in a place where people often seem to try to scam you. Breakfast was very good, with both Western and Burmese options. We were especially happy with our choice since it costs about the same as the more popular hostels in New Bagan.

The place itself is fine and the rates are fair, but don’t stay here if noise bothers you. A rooftop water pump for the reservoirs kicked in about once a minute, ran for a few seconds, then stopped, all night long. I managed two nights with roughly four hours of sleep each before cancelling the third. They changed my booking from three nights to two without hesitation, which was okay. After that I spent two nights at Bagan HMWE hotel, which was very nice and quiet.

We stayed two nights in June 2016 and had a wonderful time. It was the nicest place we stayed in Myanmar while still fitting our budget. The staff were helpful and friendly, and spoke excellent English, so they could answer our questions. Toiletries were provided, and we had a hot shower, a clean comfortable bed, WiFi with the spotty connection common around the city, and powerful air conditioning.
