Hotel Shwe Nann Htike

The staff were always smiling and very helpful, and breakfast was pretty standard. The rooms are spacious, but dust from the old wooden furniture and moths made my allergy symptoms much worse. If you don’t have that allergy, it could be a nice stay.

A quiet location with average facilities and service, and it’s family friendly. The wide windows in every room look out over beautiful hilly scenery. There’s also a rooftop bar, bicycle rental, trekking services, and a large ballroom that would work well for events.

I was very disappointed with my recent stay at Hotel Shwe Nan Htike. The smart card lock kept failing, so after outings I was left outside in the sweltering heat while trying to get into my room. The key master tried to help, but the problem kept happening, and getting back inside was incredibly frustrating. The faulty lock also caused ongoing noise. When I asked to change rooms, I was told the hotel was fully booked. It’s hard to understand how a hotel that seemed so large had no other room for a guest needing somewhere quieter. Technical problems, the noise, and poor customer service marred the stay. I’m deeply disappointed and doubt I’ll return.

The Sky Bar and restaurant are gorgeous, and the whole menu was amazing. We had dinner overlooking the city, and my steak made a truly great first impression. The hotel clearly cares about its food, and I was very pleased with our evening out, short and sweet as it was. The staff were the friendliest and most helpful, and I’ll be back for a longer visit.
