The rooms are really nice, and the staff are super friendly. It's a clean place in a lively local area, though it's outside downtown and the taxi fares added up. There's hardly any social space, no shared ride boards, and no social or cultural events for guests. The laundry is ridiculously expensive. When I stayed, the internet provider had gone out of business, though that wasn't the hostel's fault.

The hostel's in a traditional Myanmar neighborhood with loads of great street food, and the staff go above and beyond. The A/C was great, the towels were huge, breakfast was traditional, and the rain showers were amazing. They even provided soap. It felt more like a boutique hotel at a hostel price. This was the cleanest hostel I've stayed in during my seven-month trip from Istanbul to Shanghai. I'd definitely recommend it, and the price is great for what you get.

The dorm beds were some of the comfiest I've slept in at a hostel, nothing like the concrete-hard Myanmar mattresses you find elsewhere. The place was impeccably clean, even the toilets were spotless. Breakfast was a nice spread of local fried food and sticky rice. I liked adding fruit from the market up the street to cut through all the oil and stickiness. San Chaung is a great neighborhood for experiencing Yangon in all its chaotic glory, if you don't mind being a little way out from downtown.

It's quiet because it's out of town, but still within walking distance of the big pagoda, and closer to the airport than places in town. The staff were so kind and incredibly helpful. The bathrooms are gorgeous and clean, and the breakfast was the best I've had in Southeast Asia. I'm so glad I chose to stay here.

You'll get a warm bed, a clean, dry bathroom, delicious local breakfast, and the kindest hospitality at a very reasonable price. The staff are friendly and the hostel has a family feel. You won't find special luxury treatment here, but I don't think there's a cleaner, neater, tidier hostel in Yangon.
