Platinum River View Hotel

The food was disappointing. I ordered fried pork ribs, but what arrived looked more like pork skin with lots of bones, and it didn't taste good at all. The vegetables weren't fresh either. The rooms are very clean and awesome, and I loved them. Service was great too. Those are the reasons I gave it three stars; the food wasn't good.

I'd recommend this hotel and its services. All Platinum hotel locations in Yangon are clean and provide good service, with a hygienic and safe feel. I've had no problems in nine years, and I'm very satisfied.

The dining room has a nice river view, especially on fine evenings, and the breakfast buffet is really good with vegetarian options available. It's a lovely hotel in North Dagon beside Pazundaung River. The rooms are fairly large, but they're not fully soundproof, so you can hear voices from the passageways.

The staff were quite polite, and the room was comfortable. They arranged a taxi for me to another area about two hours away, and the hotel also exchanges Singapore dollars. There's a minibar with plenty of snacks and drinks, but it's not free, and the pool closes at 9pm. I stayed one night. The room had no kettle or complimentary tea and coffee, not many international TV programs, and no power plug near the table for my laptop.
