For Ulaanbaatar, this is the cheapest place I found to stay. The hostel was clean, and the WiFi worked well by Mongolian standards. The manager was usually out, though. When I arrived, another guest had to open the door for me.

The price was reasonable and the location convenient. Just be aware it can get really crowded in peak season, since the dorm is rather small for 8 people.
