UB Friends Hostel

I only stayed one day and arrived late at night, but everything was already prepared, clean, and comfortable. It was a lovely stay. The location is perfect, near the square, with a convenience store nearby.

I felt at home here. It’s one of the nicest, cleanest hostels, close to downtown Ulan-Bator. Definitely a place I’d recommend to anyone!

I split my two-night stay between the night I arrived and the night before I left. The owner was kind, helpful, and willing to do a lot for me. She helped me get a train ticket to Edernet for my bike trip and arranged rides to and from the airport. The guest house isn’t luxurious, but it’s well maintained and has what you might need. It’s also in a lovely spot near the museums around Sukbatar square. I’d have given it six stars if mosquitoes hadn’t kept me awake, though maybe they just liked my blood.

This place has an old-school charm, and the manager goes out of their way to sort out problems and make guests comfortable. The beds are much bigger than the trendy capsule beds you find at other hostels. It’s in an excellent spot, just off the main square.
