Casa Real Hotel, Macau

The hotel has a casino, shuttle service, an in-house restaurant, and a bakery with good, affordable prices. Our room was big, the bathroom had modern amenities, and the service was good, with polite staff. They may ask for a 500-dollar deposit, which is returned on checkout day. The location is good, near Macau Outer Ferry Terminal and two bus stops. With a Macau card, bus rides anywhere cost 3 Macau Pataka. The buses are useful, so there’s no need to book a taxi. Check the stop details and use Google Maps to look up buses and routes.

I chose this place for its proximity to the ferry terminal, but was surprised by how dated the hotel and rooms looked. They also require a security deposit and inspect the room at checkout, so you wait about 10 minutes for the refund. If you want to be near the terminal, I’d recommend nearby Hotel Golden Dragon instead. It’s much nicer, and they didn’t ask me for a deposit.

The room was clean, quiet, and roomy, with great air conditioning and a relaxing shower. Check-in was easy, and I was able to check in early. There are bus stops, local restaurants, and a 24-hour supermarket nearby. There’s also a shuttle bus to Outer Macao Harbour. Highly recommended.

I stayed here briefly while in transit before heading to Osaka. The location was decent, not too far from the bus stop, and the staff were helpful.
