China Dragon Hotel

We found it clean and comfortable, better than we expected. The location is handy, and free shuttles go to Macau port, the ferry terminal, and Cotai. A nice choice for couples.

The service was so bad. I asked the first staff member by the door about the shuttle to Grand Dragon Hotel, and was told the 1400 hadn’t arrived. At 1420, staff members 2 and 3 said it had already left and the next one was at 1440, so I waited again. At 1450 it still hadn’t come, and they told me it had left. Apparently someone had asked earlier whether anyone was going to The Venetian, but nobody asked if anyone needed the shuttle bus or shuttle bus. How was I supposed to know that meant the bus when I wasn’t going there? There are 10 other stops on the schedule. The vehicle was also tiny, about six seats, so I didn’t realize it was a shuttle. I’d already asked three staff members about the bus, and none of them let me know when it arrived. If they saw me sitting in the lobby, they could have called me.

The restaurant on the second floor served really good food, with portions that could feed two, and prices much lower than the little eateries in HK. Our room was huge, too, and the window had a seat where another person could sleep comfortably. We had a superb stay and I’d love to come back to Macau and stay here again.
