Hotel Central

The hotel’s historic feel is carefully preserved, but it still feels fresh and luxurious. Its heritage, décor, and amenities gave the stay more character than a standard hotel chain, while remaining comfortable. We were also impressed by the spotless, stylish rooms, which were surprisingly spacious for Macau. Staff were warm and professional, and glad to help with directions or recommendations. The location puts you near the heart of the city, within walking distance of Senado Square, local eateries, and famous attractions. I loved staying at Hotel Central and would highly recommend it for a first or return visit to Macau. I’ll definitely be back!

The firm memory foam pillow was a dream, and we had the most restful night of our 17-day trip. We stayed in the luxury room, which felt cozy with its antique and vintage décor, dark green and gold details, and thoughtful touches throughout. The bathroom had salts and a loofah, and the spacious wet room included a claw foot tub that we used during our stay. I’d definitely stay there again if we return to Macau.

The nostalgic decorations from the outside through to the room made a strong impression, and the staff were super friendly. The location loses a star for me because drop-off is on the side road rather than outside the entrance. Still, it’s convenient, with lots of places to eat nearby and St Paul Ruins, Senado Square, and the hotel Lisboa all within walking distance.

The location is hard to beat, just a few steps from Senado Square and right in Macau’s heritage district, with shops, food, and attractions close at hand. Even so, the hotel was quiet and relaxing. Staff were polite and professional, and the service felt warm. The complimentary minibar was a rare treat, stocked with coffee, wine, tea, water, soda, juice, and snacks. Outlets were conveniently placed around the room, and adaptors were provided, which made charging devices and working easy. The rooms were well kept and elegant, with warm lighting and a classy bathroom and toilet. The hotel is an older place, but its interiors are beautifully preserved and full of timeless charm. Breakfast was another highlight, with generous portions of excellent Western and Chinese choices. Hotel Central has old-world character, modern comfort, and a memorable feel.
