Coral Ocean Point Resort

A great pick for a brunch buffet before heading home. The fresh, exquisite dishes are beautifully arranged, with sparkling wine and both white and red wines, the wines are only offered at Sunday Brunch. Service is attentive too.

We couldn't book online, but wanted to see the property, so we stopped by after arriving in Saipan. It's a beautiful, quiet spot, and they were able to offer us a room for the night. When we came back after exploring, check-in was easy, and the room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. It had just enough: soaps, a dental kit, A/C, refrigerator, water, coffee and tea, and even a drying rack for swimsuits on the balcony. The pool was pleasant, though the music was loud. Lowering the volume and playing more relaxing lo-fi music might keep the calm atmosphere going. The water pressure pulsed between normal and very low, maybe to conserve water, but it didn't bother us. It was a nice reminder to go with things we can't control. There isn't much going for this hotel besides a decent pool, and the cold showers were a problem. The rooms had no hot water, while the on-site restaurant was overpriced and underwhelming, $35 for a mediocre pizza and a very limited menu. It's closer to the airport, but that didn't make up for an isolated location, far from the city center and with no nearby restaurants or amenities. Affordable transport was nonexistent. The advertised airport shuttle was misleading. It only runs from the airport, not to it, and costs per person. For the return trip, a taxi is the only option, around $20, often with a 20-minute wait. I'd strongly recommend staying closer to the city and renting a car if you're visiting Saipan. You'll save money, have access to proper food and transport, and avoid the frustration. Avoid this hotel, it's not worth the hassle.

A real gem on the island. We arrived without a booking, just walked in at the last minute after getting to the island. Luckily they had a room, but asked us to give them a few hours to prepare it. We drove around the island and came back to a great room with Netflix and Amazon prime. The front desk agents and other staff were great.
