The Westin Dragonara Resort, Malta

The location is perfect, right in the heart of St. Julian's and a 5-minute walk from the famous Mercury Tower and Portomaso. From the moment we arrived, the staff made our family feel welcome. They were friendly, caring with our kids and looked after us so well that we had the best time. We’ll definitely come back. Such a nice hotel in Malta, I can fully recommend it.

Breakfast was filling, and the staff were fantastic: welcoming, attentive, helpful and kind. Top-level service, thank you! The lobby looks pretty, but the rest of the facility needs some attention. The hotel gets immense crowds of tourists and travelers, and you can see the effect on the building and rooms.

The bus stop right outside makes it easy to get to Valletta, and there are plenty of restaurants and other things close by. We stayed 8 nights in Feb, and everyone was friendly and happy to help. Our room was lovely, though in the new block, so it took a bit of walking to get there. The room air was quite dry, and it was hard to find the right aircon balance. We used both pools. They’re said to be heated, but could be warmer. The indoor whirlpool was quite cold, and the jets felt pretty aggressive. We tried breakfast one morning. It was pricey, but had an amazing choice of hot and cold options, enough variety that you wouldn’t get bored having it every day. The chocolate cake from the lounge was delicious.

My mother’s birthday felt especially special because we were welcomed with birthday amenities and warm wishes. The hotel is beautiful, with an amazing view, and the team’s hospitality made it feel like home, even more than that. At breakfast, Suru looked after us with a big smile and genuine warmth every day. The whole breakfast team, Parmod, Rhaden, Saroj, Sean Paul, Sushma, and Santosh, were wonderful and always greeted us warmly. Zaid checked me in and took care of us throughout the stay along with Kapil. At checkout, Aarti was kind and helpful too. Ashish Lama and Ahmed Aboushall, the managers on duty, checked on guests and made sure feedback and needs were handled. I was impressed by how they look after people. Housekeeping was 10/10, truly five-star service. Thank you dearly to everyone. With that attention to detail and genuine hospitality, I’ll definitely visit again.
