1926 La Galerie Boutique Art Suites

The balcony had a view, and our bedroom was quiet despite having no window. We stayed four nights in low season at this very small, four-room boutique hotel. The staff were so attentive, especially Joy. It had everything we wanted for a getaway.

One of my favorite moments was having a glass of wine with the lovely view of the nearby Basilica. The mattress was exceptionally comfortable, and the rooms mix rustic charm with a little luxury. This small but impressive hotel is right in the heart of Valletta, close to pubs, restaurants, and ferry services, so it worked really well as a base for exploring Malta. The staff were warm and welcoming. Breakfast is usually on the rooftop, but weather meant ours was served downstairs that day, and it was still pleasant. I’d gladly return soon and highly recommend 1926 La Gallerie.

Nicole made nearly every part of our stay feel personal, from remembering our favorite juices and coffees each morning to staying on top of any issues. Her thoughtfulness and quick responses turned some potential frustrations into a smooth, memorable visit. She even invited us on a complimentary Grand Harbour boat tour focused on the Three Cities and Valletta, a highlight of our two week trip to Malta. The newly opened 1926 Le Galerie in Valletta still had a few things to iron out. On our first night we lost electricity and had to move to a room without the Jacuzzi tub we’d booked. Allan, the offsite property manager who was available late, dealt with it right away and made sure we were safe and looked after. Nicole and Allan were proactive and attentive throughout our three nights. Shahbaz packed a thoughtful breakfast for our early departure, and Ameer made check-in smooth and professional. It’s a charming, unique boutique property, and you’re in good hands staying here.
