St. Elmo Apartments

The apartment was filthy and smelled awful. It was old, with damp all over the walls, and there was so much noise in the morning that resting was impossible. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. There was only one sheet for the sofa bed, so I had to sleep in my coat to stay warm. There weren’t any products in the bathroom for washing hands or body either. They brought some after I called to complain. The one positive was the location, relatively close to the historic center.

The location was central, but the state of the rooms was appalling. The sheets were extremely dirty, dust was everywhere, and the sofas were black and filthy. The whole house stank. I couldn’t even open a closet because of the nauseating smell. It was all unforgettable, and my vacation was even worse. I don’t know how anyone could hand over a house in that condition. Don’t go there.

The property had everything needed, from a washing machine and fully equipped kitchen to hairdryers and an iron. We were welcomed with chilled bottled water and a selection of tea and coffee, a pleasant surprise. St. Elmo is in a quiet neighborhood at the end of Valletta, about five minutes’ walk from Grand Harbor, three minutes from the center, and close to buses that go all around the island. You could even swim at Grand Harbor with a beautiful view of the three cities ;) Great location and perfect value for money. It’s an ideal place for a holiday in Malta, and I highly recommend it.

In winter this place feels like a cold basement, and there's an unpleasant smell. The furniture is old too. Not a nice place.
