Electra Guesthouse

After a lot of arguing, I gave up and accepted 2+1 rooms instead of the 3+1 we'd booked and paid for. The manager wouldn't hand over the keys because she said “booking” hadn't sent the full amount for our stay, and told me to sort it out with “booking.” That's not something I could do anything about regarding her contract with them. I showed her my bank transfer to try to convince her, but the discussion was a disaster. Never again, and I wouldn't recommend it.

The room was spacious and clean, and there were two fans. The AC ran on coins, but we didn't need to use it. Just be aware there's no elevator. The surrounding area is lovely, with bars, restaurants, and supermarkets nearby. It's about a 15-minute walk to the salt pans, and the hotel is beside a bus stop served by two routes, one to and from the ferry and the other to and from victoria. Staff were extremely kind and helpful. Breakfast was included and great, and the meals we had in the hotel's restaurant were very good too. We had a very good stay and would definitely recommend this guesthouse for a holiday with friends.

The breakfast was excellent and included in the price, and the place felt clean and welcoming. It also has a wonderful sea view and a strategic location. We stayed for a weekend and will definitely come back.

For a short stay, this is a great option and good value for the money. The rooms are clean, though on the small side, and breakfast is perfectly reasonable. The AC is very expensive since it takes coins. There's no lift, so heavy bags may mean hauling them up several flights, especially if you're on the top floor.
