Le Peninsula Bay Beach Resort

Madam Laure was such a lovely, welcoming person, with a beautiful smile. The room was cozy and comfortable, the atmosphere was great, and the food was delicious. I had an amazing two-day stay and would happily come back. Highly recommended!

We spent time at the public Blue Bay beach next to the hotel, which was really interesting for meeting local people. The hotel beach has both sand and rocks, and the current was strong enough that I stayed near shore. They offer kayaks for free. We were on the all-inclusive plan, and the food was good with enough to eat.

My mum and I had a beachfront room for our 10 days at Le Peninsula, and the view was amazing. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and cleaned every day. We didn't mind the sound of planes flying overhead at all. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the buffet was delicious with lots of variety. We chose all inclusive and thought it was well worth it. Getting a taxi was easy, and the resort even had a helpdesk with fares for different destinations. We'd absolutely recommend Le Peninsula to anyone visiting beautiful Mauritius.

I am making a formal complaint about management's response to an incident where I was accused of harassment and threatened with police involvement, although I had done nothing inappropriate. My only interaction with another guest was a brief, respectful compliment about her tattoo. We didn't speak further, I didn't persist or get physically close, and I used no inappropriate language. The guest gave no sign that the comment was unwelcome, expressed no discomfort, and did not complain to me. Management nevertheless called it “harassment,” presented me publicly as the problem, and threatened to involve law enforcement. I believe the accusation is false and defamatory in nature, and completely disproportionate to what happened. It was a harmless comment, yet it was turned into an allegation without evidence, an investigation, or confirmation from the guest herself. The threat of police action was intimidating and hostile and caused me unnecessary distress. This shows a serious failure of judgment, conflict handling, and basic professionalism. Accusations of harassment have real reputational and legal consequences and should not be made lightly or used to deflect responsibility or assert authority. I am asking for a formal review and a clear explanation of how my conduct amounted to harassment; written clarification of the establishment’s policy on guest interaction and compliments; a written retraction or correction of the accusation; and assurance that police threats won't be used irresponsibly or without proper cause in the future. I expect a prompt and serious response. I will keep records of this complaint and all related correspondence. The situation could have been handled calmly and professionally, but instead it was escalated unnecessarily, damaging trust and exposing serious flaws in management conduct. I await your response.
