Baladirou Villas

Charlette, the housekeeper, and Jordy, the gardener, were discreet and very professional. The house itself was clean and well equipped, and both the villa and its setting are lovely. But there were some major problems. The pool was dirty and green when we arrived. We were told someone would come clean it, but nobody showed up all week, so we couldn't use the pool during our stay. We later found that the treatment system was broken and there was no pool vacuum. Despite sending several messages to the agency managing the place, we never got a satisfactory response. Noise was another issue. The villa is right beside a beach where people gather on weekends, with loud music going all night throughout the weekend. If you're looking for peace and quiet, avoid this place. The houses are also attached, so you can hear whatever the neighbors are doing next door, which wasn't very restful either.

The house feels very stylish, and the view is exceptional. The beach is beautiful, though swimming there isn't very practical.

Good value for a semi-detached house that sleeps 6. It's in a nice spot, reached via Bute à l'Herbe beach.
