Voila Bagatelle

The first morning, I headed to the gym at 6:30. It’s small but has two treadmills, an elliptical, a rowing machine, dumbbells, ab equipment, and several mats. I liked that the AC didn’t blow straight at me while I used the elliptical. Breakfast was a small selection, but it covered what I needed. The fried eggs were remarkable: two sunny-side-up, cooked without oil, with perfectly white whites, neither underdone nor overdone. In more than 16 years of nonstop travel around the world, I hadn’t seen anything like it. The next morning they were just as good. Bravo! The restaurant and compact lobby felt comfortable and relaxed, almost like being at home. The hotel is in a very quiet area, so I slept without any noise and woke up feeling fresh. My room wasn’t large, but it was clean and well organized, with a lovely mountain view to wake up to. The shower had excellent pressure and great water quality. I hadn’t planned on staying at Voila Hotel. I was meant to be at Le Suffren, but it was fully booked, so the receiving party booked me here, and I arrived with no expectations after a long, tiring flight, once it was dark. The modest lobby was welcoming and check-in was quick. Another nice surprise was that the hotel connects directly to a mall with plenty of restaurants and cuisines to choose from. The next day, I had lunch at Le Suffren. It was nice, but the feeling was different, and I was glad it had been fully booked. I’ll definitely stay at Voila again next time.

I needed a conference room for 100 people and contacted the hotel several times to ask about booking. Each time, they said the person in charge wasn’t available. I left my contact details but never got a callback. In the end, I went to the hotel myself, and a helpful staff member said Miss Emily would send a quote and confirm whether my requested date was available. It was urgent, and I made that clear when Miss Emily later called. Even so, there was no follow-up, quote, or confirmation. After waiting three hours, I called again and was finally told by Miss Emily that the date wasn’t available. The lack of communication and follow-through was INEXISTANT and very disappointing.

The location is convenient, and the reception team in particular were exceptionally friendly and professional. The staff really helped make my stay at Hotel Voila Bagatelle pleasant. Cleanliness and attention to detail could be improved, though. It’s a welcoming, good hotel, and I’d consider coming back for a short business stay.

The hotel was clean, the views were nice, and the staff were polite. The car park was handy, and the location works well for me. There’s a shopping mall linked to the hotel, with nice shops and a food court. After ten nights, breakfast started to feel repetitive and boring. I’d also suggest adding net curtains or privacy glass, since passers-by can see inside when the curtains are open during the day. I’d stay again in future.
