We were disappointed by nearly every part of this one-night stay with friends. The only bright spot was the polite, welcoming reception team. We’d stayed here before, so the drop in quality was hard to miss. Our Half Board booking felt like poor value: despite the hotel being full, dinner was a restrictive set menu with very few choices, and the options felt cheap. Restaurant service was painfully slow and seemed understaffed. Drinks took ages, and the meal was badly managed. Breakfast didn’t improve things. There was little to choose from at the buffet, the coffee machine was broken, and our omelet arrived so late we were nearly done eating. For a boutique hotel, the organisation and service weren’t acceptable. The hotel has clearly gone backwards, and this stay didn’t deliver decent value. I’d avoid Half Board and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for good food, prompt service, or a well-run dining experience.

The room was comfortable and nice, and the front office staff were welcoming and polite. Dinner at La Fourchette, though, turned an otherwise mixed stay into a very stressful evening. We had a half-board package, but when we went to reserve a table at 5 p.m. for 8 p.m., we were told there might not be one available. Dinner was already paid for, so we shouldn’t have had to worry about whether we could eat. After we did get a table, everything took far too long: around 30 minutes for starters, 45 minutes for drinks, and an hour and a half for the main course. By then the evening was ruined. We understand restaurants get busy, but those delays were really unpleasant.

Danish (I hope I have the name right!) and Dhaniskha at reception made us feel noticed and appreciated right from the start. They were patient, kind, and happy to help even with small requests. We can’t name everyone who made the stay special, but we’re very grateful to them. The staff’s warmth made us feel more like family than guests. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely cared for, and whenever we needed something, people went out of their way to help. We left with lovely memories and a lot of gratitude. We’d wholeheartedly recommend the hotel for its comfort and genuine care, and we’ll definitely be back. ❤️❤️

The staff were pleasant, and the taxi driver who brought us from the port couldn’t understand why we’d been allocated this hotel. It was in the middle of nowhere, with nothing around, and we were told it wasn’t safe to leave the resort at night. The bar shut at about 10:30 p.m., and even with just the two of us there, it had no atmosphere. We’d been sent here through a Cruise 1st package holiday after a fantastic itinerary through Singapore, Phuket, Maldives, Seychelles, Madagascar, and Mauritius. This hotel was a real anticlimax. Other people from the ship had gorgeous beach hotels with entertainment. Here, the garden at the back was tiny, with plastic grass, seven sunbeds, and a very small pool. The room lights were so dim it felt like the Black Hole of Calcutta. On the first night, I moved my pillow and a creature ran out from underneath it. There were mosquitoes everywhere.

Jessica, the Manager, was brilliant at helping us arrange our day trips. The rest of the staff were great too, and we were really taken with the rooms and their views. It’s quiet and secluded, like a little secret spot. The food was incredible. Though it’s technically four-star, it felt like five-star to us. Seriously, this place is amazing. Awesome.
