Atoll Residence

Our first stay on a local island couldn't have gone better. We had clean rooms close to the beach, and chose full board. The meals were great and there was more than enough. Asad and Lenka are lovely owners, and the support team of guys from Sri Lanka and Bangladesh was great too. There are plenty of trip options, and the snorkeling around the jetty is excellent. We were happy to get what we paid for, but got even more than that. Highly recommend.

The owner and staff were so friendly and helpful, making sure we felt comfortable and welcome. Their kindness made our visit special. The hotel was clean and well cared for, with lovely views and a peaceful atmosphere, and the food was really tasty. We had a wonderful time here and will remember it for a long time. I'd recommend the place to anyone looking for a great holiday in the Maldives.

The junkyard on the far side of the island was a negative, though that may just be part of life on many local islands. It didn't affect the quality of our stay, and oddly enough, the island's best snorkeling beach is right beside it, with sharks, rays, and turtles. There's a dive center, plus daily diving and snorkeling trips to different sites. Food was simple and mostly fish, when they caught some. The building and grounds were cleaned several times a day, while room cleaning was available on request. The hotel has been open for two years, and could start keeping up with regular maintenance to the furniture and bathroom. The locals were friendly and it felt completely safe, as long as you follow the rules and don't walk around in a swimsuit. Bikini beach is a two-minute walk away, though its condition wasn't perfect, with damaged sunbeds and occasional mess after parties for safari boat crews. Assad was very helpful and checked in with us every day about how we were doing and what we wanted.

We visited with our family in February 2024 and had an amazing time. Our three-year-old son can't have lactose, beef, or eggs, and the chef was fantastic about it. He always prepared special meals for him and served him personally. The accommodation was beautiful, and the hotel manager was very pleasant and helpful. We also had a nice chat with him since he knows Brno, the city in our country.
