We really enjoyed our stay in this calm little guesthouse. It isn’t a resort and there’s no all-inclusive setup, which suited us; the chefs still made delicious meals every day, and the staff were kind and ready to help. The manager was especially friendly and patient, always available to answer questions and sort out problems or find a good solution for guests. The ocean is only a few steps away, with a lovely reef and colorful fish nearby. We even watched a reef shark swim just a few meters from us. Snorkeling gear is free to borrow, and their boat can take you to see whale sharks, manta rays, and turtles, or out diving. For sunrise, just step outside the guesthouse. I’d highly recommend it for a peaceful stay and experiences that feel special and hard to repeat.

The staff were genuinely lovely, always friendly and juggling everything with a smile to make sure we had what we needed. We spent almost a week here and found the guesthouse peaceful and relaxing. The diving trip was fun too. Definitely try their special chili, it’s worth it.

The staff were so kind and helpful. When my backpack tore, they even found me a needle and thread. I enjoyed staying here and would come back. For the price, it’s a great option, right by the beach at the end of the island opposite the tourist beach. That beach is only about a 10 minute walk away, and both are good for snorkeling. The food was excellent, and the rooms are a decent size with good air conditioning and balconies. The beds weren’t very comfortable, though, as I could feel the wooden base through the mattress. WiFi was slow but worked well enough for messages. Most mornings someone knocked on my door before 8, even though I hadn’t asked for a wake-up call and breakfast ran until 9. I was usually in the shower or getting dressed, so that got irritating.

The beach and views were lovely, and breakfast was really tasty. We had a spacious room with air conditioning, and the guys were super nice and helped with whatever we needed. They took us snorkeling to see manta rays and whale sharks, doing their best to help us spot them, and we did! We could also borrow gear and head out on our own to the nearby reef. I’d recommend this place to anyone who wants a taste of local island life and snorkeling 🤗🤗

The sea life is right there to explore, with free snorkeling gear and a canoe available at the guesthouse. You’ll be pleasantly surprised by the clear water and paradise-like surroundings, as long as you’re not expecting a five-star resort. Liberty Guesthouse is right by a lovely beach and a good place to try local dishes. The staff were friendly without hovering, and the owner speaks several languages, including English, French, and Italian. They can arrange excursions and dive trips, and really go out of their way to help.
