Isla Retreat

We couldn’t make our trip to this wonderful accommodation because of the unrest. The airspace was closed and our flights were canceled. Ismail and his team were fantastic to deal with, communicated really well, and gave us a full refund, which was more than generous. As soon as we get the chance, we’ll travel to Isla Retreat. A huge thank you to the whole team, you’re amazing!

I’ll never forget my 30th birthday dinner at Isla Retreat. They arranged the whole evening on the beach, making everything themselves over several hours to get it just right. The chef came to ask how we liked the lobster, and the team were so friendly and kind. They even arranged flowers and a cake. Thank you! I’d give it six stars if I could.

The dining room is on the third floor, with a big terrace and a stunning view that’s perfect for dinner and watching the sunset. Isla is right on the beach, where I enjoyed coffee in the morning. The hotel itself is incredibly beautiful and very clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. There are lots of activities, too. I took a paddle board out at sunrise and sunset, and it was so peaceful and meditative. Everything about the hotel and location was perfect. I’d absolutely return!

Isla has the best spot on the island, with so many excursions that we did them all. Every room has a balcony, which adds a lovely feel, and the restaurant on the third floor has a wonderful view from morning to evening. The staff were welcoming and helped with every request. We spent two nights on this amazing island, having the total relaxation we wanted while still getting the real Maldivian experience. We highly recommend it and will definitely come back!
