The kids had a great time canoeing, swimming at the beach, and enjoying the pool. We often saw dolphins in the mornings, which was unforgettable. The Island Luxury Retreat - Maalhos is on a local island, but it felt like a secluded private resort. There was direct beach access, private pools for each room, and plenty of privacy. The team made us feel cared for throughout. Ali was especially attentive, Sara was very helpful, and everyone was warm and professional. They even took care of the little details. The food was excellent and suited our preferences. Our room and the rest of the property were immaculate, elegant, and very comfortable. We had a luxurious, peaceful family stay here and highly recommend The Island Luxury Retreat - Maalhos. It’s a real hidden gem in the Maldives.

The private BBQ dinner with local food was a highlight for my kids and me. It was a lovely experience and one we’ll remember. Sara welcomed us so warmly from the moment we arrived, and the service throughout was personal and thoughtful. Ayya really knows how to exceed what guests expect. We were touring Baa Atoll and stopped at Maalhos to stay at The Island Luxury Retreat. It was probably our best stay in the atoll, second to none. Qadir’be, I’ve already been telling friends the fun story behind your house name, GOLF. We’ll definitely return to this beautiful hidden gem.

We stayed here January 01 - 07, 2026 for our honeymoon, and the experience was even better than we expected. Everything came together for a truly memorable trip. I’d recommend this place to couples looking for a fun, memorable honeymoon, or anyone wanting a holiday getaway to reconnect 💯.

We’re regulars in the Maldives, but this was our first visit to the local islands. In many ways, they beat 5*+ resorts. We felt at every step that the team cared about giving us an authentic experience. The kitchen and housekeeping both went above and beyond, and the freshly squeezed tropical juices and cocktail mixes were the perfect finishing touch. An unforgettable holiday.
