Newtown Inn Guest house

Our flight was delayed, but they still arranged airport transport and stored luggage for our group of six. It cost just $30. With the beach only a two-minute walk away, we had a great time.

The place was close to everything we needed, including shops, restaurants, and a pharmacy, and the room was clean, even the toilet. We stayed for two nights and were happy with the location, room, and service. Highly recommended, and we’ll definitely book here again.

We were left waiting an hour for the hotel taxi, even though transfers were included. Vishal argued with us and was very unprofessional, telling me to cancel the booking at 9pm while I was there with my four-year-old. I’d booked a month ahead and had also asked for breakfast that would suit my vegetarian diet, but they refused, even though I had paid for the breakfast package. The service was absolutely pathetic, and I wouldn’t recommend the hotel. P.S. I’m a hotelier and understand that hiccups happen, but not at this level.

The money exchange staff member was very helpful, and the waiter at the Indian restaurant was great too. They served one of the best butter chicken dishes I’ve ever had. My room, 203, was clean but uncomfortably noisy because its window was beside a restaurant ventilator or AC. I complained around 8pm and was told they’d do something, or at worst switch it off when the restaurant closed at 11. It kept running all night.
