Sunrise Beach and Spa Hotel

The manager handled my room request politely and quickly. My booked city-view room faced a nearby construction site, which blocked the view and made it feel cramped, but he arranged a room with an open view and I appreciated that. Staff were excellent, courteous, helpful, and quick to respond. Cleanliness needs work, and breakfast could offer more variety. A decent stay, with good support from the staff and some things to improve.

We booked tours with Sunrise Beach and the service was amazing. The trips weren't as crowded as those with other operators, so we could enjoy one dive after another. They had skilled freedivers who could go deep with you and take amazing, well-framed photos and video clips. The staff were approachable and so kind. Highly recommended!

Breakfast seemed to be leftovers from the previous night's dinner. The staff acted nice, though there was a lot of eye-rolling too. We were in room 201, where at night it sounded like mice were walking above us, and it was impossible to sleep. The next day they offered another room, which was a little better.

Check-out was at 12, but the staff member who was meant to bring down my luggage didn't arrive until 12:20. I was only waiting in the room for them, not staying there, but the hotel tried to charge me for late check-out over those few minutes. I was especially disappointed by the long black-haired girl at the front desk. She was unnecessarily aggressive and dismissive, and made the situation worse instead of resolving it. That's not the professionalism you'd expect from hotel staff. Completely unacceptable.
