Avyanna Gulhi Beach

The restaurant food is delicious, and the hotel provides beach towels, sunbeds and an umbrella. Transfers by speedboat were easy, with the hotel taking care of the arrangements. The place is clean and well maintained, and the staff are helpful and friendly. Mr Hemantha, the owner, keeps an eye on things to make sure they run smoothly. We recommend Avyanna Hotel.

Hussain was especially attentive and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. Everyone else was welcoming, kind and supportive too. The hotel was clean, comfortable, well maintained and had a calm atmosphere, making our stay in Gulhi very pleasant. The meals were good, though I would have liked more food choices, particularly at breakfast. I'd recommend Hotel Avyanna to anyone visiting Gulhi and would be happy to stay again.

The restaurant service was very nice, and the rooms were clean, well furnished and serviced daily with fresh towels. The terrace and balcony had very good views. The hotel is by the beach, around 300 metres from Bikini Beach. Breakfast needs work. There was hardly any fruit or vegetables, and the selection was small.

Madhushanka was kind, quick to respond and understanding about our booking and family staycation even before we arrived. The hotel is tucked into a quiet part of the island, with a lovely green setting, seating, swings and a children's playground. They picked us up and dropped us off at the jetty for free, and smoothly arranged our boat transfers. Our room had everything we needed, including hot showers and hot tap water, and the balcony and windows looked out toward the nearby beach. They provided a good quality cot for our one-year-old. The Boava restaurant food was excellent, and we ordered room service several times. Breakfast was decent. A wonderful option for a family with children.
