The location is a small local island with friendly people, and there are plenty of boat trips out on the sea. Bikini beach is beautiful and just a one minute walk from Silver Shade Guest House. There’s a blue lagoon with fish, baby sharks and rays nearby. A restaurant sits by the sea, with more places to eat and a mini market around the island. Don't forget to try Maldivian food, the recipes are amazing. Bring cash, as there is NO ATM. I spent a week at Silver Shade Guest House and really recommend it for couples, families, or a solo traveler like me. It’s quiet, with a small garden to enjoy. The rooms are very clean and serviced every day, and there’s a generous breakfast included, plus water. Samad, the host, is kind and always tries to do his best for you. He's also a great snorkeling instructor and very friendly. It feels like home here. :)

The garden is amazing, the rooms are very clean and the owner is wonderful. Breakfast was delicious, especially the Maldivian food. The staff are helpful and devoted, and assist whenever you need something. I'd recommend this place to anyone wanting a memorable vacation. I'd go back as soon as I can.

We booked two months ahead, but on arrival they sent us to a different hotel with no Wi-Fi or hot water. We hardly ever saw any staff there. On our last night we went to Gruce, which we thought was much better for both the place and the service.
