So/ Maldives Resort

SO Maldives was a great place to unwind. It's modern, beautifully designed, spotless, and better than we expected. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and Vishan deserves a special thank you for being kind, professional, and attentive to our comfort. We'd happily return.

The villas are new, clean, and comfortable, and the resort manages to feel stylish while still working well for families. The kids' club and service culture made it easy to bring our young daughter along, and my parents were comfortable too. It's near Male and made a good base for our multi-generational trip. Ahsan, our Guest Experience M (I can't remember what it stands for!), helped coordinate our daily plans and made sure everyone's needs were covered. His suggestions about what to do, and when not to do it, were useful. Having him as our contact made the stay much smoother, so we could focus on being together. The website makes the entertainment look limited, but there was enough. Abdul, a talented fitness trainer, also entertained guests with fire throwing, music-led pool aerobics each day, and walks on stilts. My daughter loved him. We also had a good experience with Ocean for water sports and snorkeling. We did the nurse shark and coral snorkels, plus a dolphin cruise. The two guides made a real difference, and we were glad they would be with us for each activity.

We were sad to head home after seven nights. The island is lush and beautiful, and the water is warm, clear, and lovely. There's a small coral reef teeming with different tropical fish, and the bikes made it easy to get around. Everything was so clean, and the amenities seemed almost new. It was clear upkeep is a priority. The food was delicious, fresh, high quality, and served in generous portions. We definitely put on a few kilos during the holiday! The staff were attentive, especially our GEM Ahsan. Luna was great in the restaurants, and Mariia was very helpful too. Hopefully we'll be back soon.

Peaceful atmosphere, great food, friendly and helpful staff, and beautiful turquoise water made for a lovely stay at SO/ Maldives. The villas are stylish, and Mr Shifaz did an excellent job with the room decorations and cleaning. I'd love to visit again.
