Getting to the beaches was easy from this location, and the service was great. We loved the room and are already looking forward to staying here again.

A cute parrot is there to greet you, which was a fun surprise. The room was really spacious, with a big balcony, and the hotel is in a handy spot near bikini beach and wow Magu. You can rent a bicycle, and the main harbour is about five minutes away by bike. They also provide beach towels, an iron and ironing board, and a hair dryer in the room. The staff were friendly too.

There’s a big courtyard with sofas, a ping pong table, and rolling chairs, and the beach is fairly close, especially by bike. Our room was large and clean, with daily cleaning and fresh towels. Breakfast was included, and they also lent us beach towels and snorkelling gear. When we arrived, the welcoming owner had arranged an electric tuk tuk pickup at the port and offered us water, papaya, and coconuts. I’d definitely recommend staying here while visiting the island.

We spent a week at Ahola Thoddoo as two adults and a child. The food was varied and interesting, and the service was attentive. The room was roomy, with good shower pressure and a handheld bidet spray in the toilet. Tap water tasted unpleasant, but they supplied mineral water. Guests can use snorkelling gear, fins, and towels for the sunset beach, about a 10-minute walk away. We saw coral, fish, and even a turtle there. A couple of bikes are available, though they had no brakes. For activities like morning tuna fishing, night fishing, dolphin cruises, or manta ray and shark snorkelling, guests can arrange things at Astro Dive, a three-minute walk from the guesthouse. Very handy. Thoddoo has loads of mosquitoes and flies, so bring proper repellent and anti-itch balm. We’d happily return.
