Fairytale Inn

We spent 5 days here, and now I get why the reviews are so high. I’d been wondering before we arrived, since I’ve travelled all over the world. We’ll definitely come back. The hotel and apartment are cozy, and breakfast is a great à la carte spread. The staff notice all the little things you’d expect at a 5-star hotel. Thoddoo’s lovely Sunset Beach is a big bikini beach. The coral reef nearby isn’t very large, but we regularly saw big sea turtles and cool fish.

The garden feels like a little jungle, with gentle chillout music and friendly parrots. It’s a lovely atmosphere, and the feeling here really does live up to Fairytale’s name. Nani and Silvia provide whatever you need, and the service is exceptional. Breakfast has plenty of choices, including lots of fruit and smoothies. There are free bicycles, and the rooms get very good daily cleaning. Highly recommend.

What made our stay was the people. The owner, the young woman, and the gentleman who picked us up and works at the hotel all looked after us so well. They were genuinely kind and welcoming. Sending you a big hug, and I hope others book here and get to feel just as cared for by this lovely team. Congratulations on the great work!

Breakfast was consistently very good, and the garden is lovely. The parrots often come over while you’re eating. You can take a free bike whenever you like to explore, and there’s snorkeling gear to borrow too. Ask ahead to check they have your sizes. The rooms also have adapters for chargers and other devices, and the Wi-Fi works well. For me, this is the best place to stay in Thoddoo.
