Muraka Inn Thoddoo

Mark is kind and a good cook. The food was nice, and the room was clean and comfortable. It’s a beautiful place, and you can see a turtle family on THODDOO Island. The staff member Mark was especially friendly and made my heart flutter. He was always trying to help. The internet was fast, and snorkeling gear is free to borrow. There are lots of mosquitoes on THODDOO, maybe because of the farms, but I didn’t find any in the room. The restaurant is open-air, so there are bugs, and the bathroom water smells bad. I think that may just be because it’s an island. I’ll probably come here again next time I’m on the island.

This was our second stay, and we brought our almost one-year-old daughter along this time. They treated us like family, as if we were visiting relatives. The staff were polite and helpful, and gave us free internet throughout our stay. A special thanks to the manager, Mark. He was so pleasant and helpful: he showed us the island sights, found a room suited to our needs, met us at the ferry and walked us to the hotel, helped with our luggage, and suggested scuba diving so we could see the exotic underwater world. We were blown away by the thoughtful service and genuine care. We want to thank all the staff for a wonderful stay, and will definitely return and recommend the hotel to friends. I highly recommend it. I did some research, and not every hotel has a lagoon like this.

I liked that vegetarian food was available, since Maldivian cuisine isn’t really my thing. Muraki was a wonderful guesthouse with all the amenities, and everything was new, including the furniture and fixtures. Excellent. Thanks to the guys at Muraki, you’re great!
