The peaceful setting and lake views made it easy to unwind as soon as we arrived. We spent four lovely nights at Makuzi Beach Lodge for our honeymoon, with beautiful gardens all around. The meals were full of flavour, and we could taste the freshness of the vegetables and spices they grow themselves. The staff were warm and always ready to help, which made the stay feel special. We left feeling refreshed. They also upgraded us from Standard to superior, which was such a nice surprise. 😊😎

How did it take me so long to find this place? The chambo was interesting and full of flavour, possibly the best food I’ve had in Malawi. The chalets were comfortable and well maintained, and waking up to birdsong and lake views was wonderful. A stunning lodge with a beautiful beach.

We ended up staying two nights, with breakfast and dinner, after getting our car stuck near the lodge. In heavy rain, around 10 locals and the lodge boss, "brett", helped us get it out. The food was delicious too. We really recommend the place. Amazing people there. Carmen, Claudio and Sascha, many thanks again to everyone who helped us, and all the best to brett and his team for the future.

We felt right at home here and really didn't want to leave. The view, accommodation, and especially the food were outstanding. After staying at many lodges throughout Malawi, this one stands apart. The staff were wonderful, and the welcoming owners Brett and Lara shared great stories about the lake and surrounding area. It's absolutely beautiful.

The bay is especially beautiful and quiet, and the surrounding area is spectacular. We loved this lovely location and the wonderful people who are happy to share it with us.
