We’ve been to Blue Zebra three times now and are already looking forward to another visit. Our room, Cormorant, was comfortable and had a beautiful view. Everything was clean and well looked after, and the spa treatments were amazing. We saw lots of birds and were especially glad to spot so many bush babies. The food was fantastic, and the service was among the best we’ve had in Malawi. We came from Lilongwe for a weekend, and I’d recommend Malawi as a holiday destination for a weekend or two, with Blue Zebra on the itinerary.

The snorkelling was a real highlight, and the views were stunning. Our room was spotless, too. Everyone helped make the weekend feel easy and welcoming: Louis was a pro handling the speedboat, Patrick at the bar kept us smiling, Belinda gave me a wonderfully relaxing massage by the water, and Maya at the restaurant made every meal pleasant. We stayed at Blue Zebra Island Lodge and honestly didn’t want to leave.

We had a fantastic stay, with a breathtaking view, a very comfortable bed, and great accommodations. Every meal was delicious, and the service was top notch. We also recommend a massage with Colleta. She’s very professional.

The lake was choppy during the transfers, but we still had a memorable time. I spent plenty of time in the pool, enjoyed some great cocktails, and relaxed on the deck by the lake. The views and atmosphere were lovely. We had a great three days with family and friends, and the food was good, though the choices were limited.

Quiet mornings with a book were a favorite, and I spent the afternoons hiking, kayaking, or going on boat trips. My room looked out over an incredible view, so I could take in the island’s beauty every day. Watching the sunrise and sunset to finish each day felt like magic. I absolutely loved my stay.
