We checked out after just one night. The room was unbearably hot, and there was no AC. The fan was so loud that using it made it hard to sleep, but without it we were sweating. The plastic mattresses were very uncomfortable and made us sweat too, and the mosquito net had holes. The room was moldy. Breakfast took ages, and when it arrived there was very little of poor quality. Worst place we've stayed so far in Malawi.

The staff were good, but they didn't have the equipment they needed. The food wasn't kept warm in proper food warmers. I wouldn't recommend this as a conference venue.

Zomba's downtown location was convenient, and the breakfast was good, though it took a while to arrive. On the winter day I stayed, my shower was cold, which surprised me because my friends said their rooms had hot water.
