We had a great dinner and drinks there with my partner. The service was immaculate, and the food was out of this world. We chose the large Extravaganza pizza, easily the best pizza in Malawi. It felt intimate, and we could sit inside or by the pool.

We were the first guests in the restaurant that evening, arriving around 5:40, but our food didn't come until about 7:15. The wait was far too long. I ordered a burger at first, then our waiter told me it wasn't available, so I switched to garlic prawns in butter. Later, I ordered hot chocolate and was again told it couldn't be made. They should know what's available and keep the waiters informed so they can help customers properly. The food itself was good, but the price didn't feel justified. My prawns cost MK39,500 and I counted six on the plate, with a little veg and a huge mound of rice. Six prawns! I want to feel I'm getting my money's worth. I've had a whole plate of prawns elsewhere for 25,000. My husband also wasn't happy with the fried Chambo, which cost 22,500. I wish I'd pushed the waiter more about the portions, though I doubt she would have had an answer. We even asked what the signature dish was, and she said she didn't know. There were about three blackouts while we were there. No candle was available at the waiters' desk, so I had to use my phone torch until the Genset eventually came on, I think. By the time the food arrived, I just dug in, skipped photos, forgot to pray, which I really feel bad about, and ate all that rice because I felt I had to make up for what I was paying. I was especially frustrated by the six prawns. Please lower the price or serve more of them. And maybe bring the butter sauce in a separate bowl so people can dip the prawns as they like.

The view of Zomba mountain was magnificent, and the rooms were beautiful. From the main gate onward, the security staff were very welcoming, and the receptionist was just as friendly. Wadonda Suits has it all.

We had to ask for a new tablecloth because the table was dirty when we arrived. Service wasn't very good, and the food took until 8:45 to come even though we got there at 7pm. At least the food tasted nice. Their mushroom soup was the best part, really good.
