The location is excellent and very central. For the price, the service is good too.

My stay was a 10 out of 10, and I’ll definitely come back. The host was so warm and helpful about parking. Just keep in mind that the lot across the street isn’t available during fair season, though parking on the sidewalk felt very safe. There were six bunk beds in the room, great for a wild night out. The mattress was comfortable, even if those aluminum frames creaked a lot.

For a cheap, no-frills place to sleep, it works if you’re open-minded. It’s close enough to walk to Plaza Triana in 15 minutes or less, and pretty near the city center. Cleanliness could be better, though for the price I wasn’t expecting much. I went in the off-season and it was quiet. No idea what it’s like during the San Marcos Festival.

Joselo makes you feel like a friend visiting his home, and the staff are attentive and flexible. The service, quality, and cleanliness are all top-notch. It’s also a great spot to relax, near downtown and the tourist area of the San Marcos National Fair.
