We could walk to the center of Ajijic easily, and the mountain trail was only half a block away. The house and its view were lovely. The street is steep and cobbled, so it could be tough for anyone with mobility concerns, though for most people it’s a good workout and the view makes it worthwhile. Communication was easy, security was on point, and the pleasant caretaker was helpful. We didn’t get a chance to swim, but the pool looked beautiful. If there’s a fiesta down the hill, music and flash bangs may carry up at night. Otherwise it’s quiet, with morning rooster calls that are kind of charming.
