Even though check-in was listed as 2 pm, they let us into our private room at 9 am, which was super convenient. We paid around €30 for it, a fair price. The hostel is close to the city centre, and it’s clean and well furnished.

Karen was a lovely, friendly host and kindly arranged a wonderful boat trip for us on the gorgeous lagoon. There was always water available at reception, and the area felt safe. It’s less than a 10-minute walk to the centre of Bacalar. We had a peaceful, lovely stay at Casa Delia. The bedrooms were clean, comfortable, and modern. Would recommend this gem.

The room was small and humid, nothing special, but the staff were really nice. The receptionist helped us arrange a sailing tour. The street isn’t the nicest, though it’s pretty close to the centre.

The bathroom is tiny, especially the sink, where it’s even hard to wash your face. Aside from that, we were very happy with our four-night stay. It’s a cute hotel, the staff are attentive, and it’s very good value for money.

The pool is great, and the rooms are great too. I don’t understand the complaints about the small bathroom, it was totally fine. The location is a bit farther from the beach. The house lady didn’t speak English and didn’t really seem to care.
